When is a microbiological cure confirmed? i had cbp with esbl ecoli a possible pathogen. tests didn't detect pathogen in semen after 48hrs.

See below: Good question. Cure of CBP based on both the resolution of prostatitis-related symptoms AND on microbiological cure as documented by "repeated" negative urine and/or prostate fluid cultures over time with no consensus on what the timeline interval is (days, weeks, or months) after completion of antibiotics. I feel if no recurrence of same ESBL E. coli for 3-6 months, high probability of cure.
