Does a z pack treat gonorrhea or chlamydia?

One gram : One gram of Azithromycin treats chlamydia. Due to increasing resistance you need another medicine to treat Gono preferably an injection. Please see your doctor. Happy healing. Be safe!

Yes and no: The medication in a z-pack, azithromycin, is the drug of choice for chlamydia. However, it is supposed to be given as 1gm stat, i.e. Four 250mg tablets taken all at once. A z-pack is dosed differently. The recommended medication for gonorrhea is a muscular injection of Ceftriaxone 250mg x 1. You can use azithromycin 2gm x 1, but it is not ideal.
