Not specific symptom: Heartburn occurs commonly in pregnancy, mainly due to the enlarging uterus putting pressure on the stomach. the same reason that heartburn is common with obesity or eating before bed. Many medications, including hormones in BC can cause nausea and indigestion. Other causes are foods that increase acid production, including alcohol, caffeine, chocolate,spicey foods and foods with high acidiy.
