When i get a cold and fever i get a herpes-zoster like outbreak around the nose, but not that because the pain is not as great. what could it be?

Cold sore. : This is usually a viral outbreak, similar to zoster, that pops up when your immune system is distracted fighting off something else, hence the name. Goes away on its own in a week or so.
