A member asked:

Is it possible to have angular cheilitis and then have an outbreak of herpes simplex (cold sore) shortly after in the same area after a fever?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The answer is obvious since it seems to have happened. Both of these may be the result of stress to the immune system. We do not yet fully understand the mechanisms, but the observation is correct.
