Very unlikely: It sounds like you have read that HSV type 1, the cause of oral herpes (fever blisters, cold sores) also can infect the eye and rarely can cause paralysis of the facial nerve (Bell's palsy). Both these complications are very rare, and usually occur with the initial HSV1 infection. They are very unlikely to occur in anyone with recurrent oral herpes outbreaks. Don't worry about it.
