Unlikely : These things can be but are most often unrelated. Have you had fever blisters/cold sores before? It would be unusual for an adult in their late thirties to have one for the first time. Bell's Palsy is often a manifestation of Lyme disease and there are a few other associated causes. It's unlikely your current cold sore will result in Bell's Palsy.
