A member asked:

Negative urine pcr. positive chlamydia semen pcr. any difference regarding treatment? can infection spread to other parts? (i.e my left stomach hurts)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tissue specific: Your chlamydia likes to live in certain tissues, like the linings of your urinary tract. It is not going to go from there into your stomach(tissue is different). You can feel bad when you are sick, as a non-specific symptom, and the common treatment for chlamydia, azithromycin can cause GI upset or cramping in some patients.
