Quite common: Lots of PID is not caused by the common STDs like gonorrhea or chlamydia, especially in somewhat older women like you (over 30). In other cases, the tests miss them. If the doctor diagnosed PID, that's almost certainly what you have. Take the antibiotics as prescribed. Also make sure your sex partner(s) are examined and probably treated. Good luck!
