STD treatment: Almost certainly your doctor is right that you have an STD: gonorrhea, chlamydia, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). S/He should have donetests to see which it is, but treatment should be started without waiting for the test results. Normal treatment is a ceftriaxone (shot) plus oral azithromycin (1 dose) or doxycycline (for a week). Your sex partner(s) also need to be treated. Good luck!
