Was prescribed azithromycin for 10 days for a sinus infection. how does this interact with my birth control, trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol)? thanks!

Should not interact: The current thinking is that except for rifampin, other commonly-used antibiotics do not alter the effectiveness of birth control pills such as TriNessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol). This is likely presuming a person is not sick with vomiting or diarrhea, or some other condition that decreases the absorption of a swallowed pill.
