Not herpes: To be sure you understand: HSV2 is the virus, not the disease. Genital herpes can be caused by either HSV1 or 2, but HSV2 infrequently infects the mouth -- i.e. most people with genital HSV2 never get cold sores from it. Herpes doesn't cause "tingling and burning" without visible sores, and herpes outbreaks never last a whole month. And non-improvement on valacyclovir confirms it's not herpes.
