Pap is not for trich: The main symptom of trichomonas is vaginal discharge, often with odor, but many (most?) infections cause no symptoms. Pap smear does not detect trich, although during the exam the doctor may suspect it and do diagnostic tests. However, most trich can be detected only with lab testing, preferably with a DNA detection test. Ask your doctor about it.
