A member asked:

I have hsv-1 there was no cold sore on my mouth, and i kissed a girl with hiv+ there was a little saliva, i feel fatigue next day, can i get hiv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not that way: HIV has never been transmitted by kissing. We know this from the years when it was not treatable and HIV-discordant family members kiss one another. It was never transmitted except by sex or needle sharing. If things go beyond kissing, please use barrier protection; I hope she is also being treated.
