Non-specific: urethritis is the name of the problem. If is basically any infection in the urethra except those caused by gonorrhoea and chlamydia. Responds well to antibiotic treatment. However, the condition may take longer to cure in some people and recur in others. A 10-21 day course of antibiotics such as tetracycline or doxycycline is the recommended treatment.
