Semen Detour: Ejaculatory dysfunction comes in many forms. As men age they can produce less prostatic fluid which is a major component of the ejaculate in men. Semen consists of this fluid plus the sperm produced in the testicles which is conducted from the epididymis during orgasm. In some cases, the ejaculate is not propelled forward correctly due to uncoordinated contractions of the vas deferens.

"Dry orgasm": "Dry orgasm" (no ejaculate) is the primary sign of retrograde ejaculation...the ejaculate travels backward into the bladder. This is caused by a dysfunction of the muscles that normally close the bladder during ejaculation. It can result from prostate or bladder surgery, side effect of med, or medical conditions such as diabetes, MS, spinal cord problem. In young man, needs evaluation. Good luck.

Nerve issue: Diabetes can cause delay in nerve signaling and cause ejaculatory dysfunction. As can many medications. You should see a urologist.
