Normal: Ejaculatory Inevitability This phrase was created by noted sex researchers Masters and Johnson, and it suggests that, for most men, orgasm is inevitable after a certain amount of stimulation occurs. In their research, it was found that 75 percent of men reach orgasm after two minutes or less of masturbation.

To Clarify: Masturbation is a normal, fun way to learn how your body works. 2 minutes may be fast or slow -depends on what you think. To slow things down a bit - when you start to feel real good, stop the stimulation, reduce pressure, lightly touch your penis and pay attention to the feelings. Continue to build up and slow down to extend "play time" if that's your goal. Most importantly, have fun and learn!

By the way, "often" is a relative term. As long as it is not keeping you from doing the things in life you need to do, it isn't of concern. Most young people masturbate more frequently than older folks but not always. You are very normal but if you have concerns, you can always discuss them with your doctor and if you don't feel you can, it's time to find a new doctor!

I am unable to ejaculate without masturbating. Can't from sex. I have been on zoloft 24 years. Lowered it from 75mg to 50mg once daily back in June. Two urologists said zoloft was the cause. I was put on buspirone and had to stop. How can I ejaculate?
Dr. Birendra Tandan

You have to ask your doc to try another pill. Zoloft can do that. Keep trying you still might be able to ejaculate with sex.
