A member asked:

Will macrobid 100mg capsules treat chlamydia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Macrobid is a wonderful medication for UTI due to common bacteria such as E. coli because its activity is limited to the bladder. Chlamydia is more likely found in the vagina, which is nearby but not exactly the same body part. There are very good antibiotics for treating Chlamydia. See your doctor for separate prescription.
