No: Nitrofurantoin is not effective treatment for chlamydia infections. If you have a chlamydial infection, the nitrofurantoin will not result in a negative test. Other antibiotics (such as Zithromax) should be used to treat Chlamydia.

No: But the usual test for a UTI would not pick up a STD like chlamydia.If you were exposed, you need to be sure you ask for the specific testing involved.Chlamydia can have few if any symptoms while it is tearing up your system and destroying fertility.
