A member asked:

Can my birth control nexplanon cause blood clots n my legs? my left leg has pain n it around my calf im 22 no heath problems should i go to er?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: This is a progestin which carries a lower risk of DVT (blood clots) than estrogen contraceptives, but there is still a risk and if you have persistent pain, redness or swelling you should be evaluated either by your primary care provider or in an urgent care or ER facility
