Very accurate: It is considered over 99% accurate. The likelihood of a second test coming back negative is fairly low; however, depending on whether the test is able to do a confirmatory or not, you may want to get a blood test so that you can confirm the elisa with a western blot.

Just got positive result back from HIV RNA test - 1.5mil copies per m/l. Exposure on 8/12. Had negative Duo tests at 15, 19, 27, 32, 40, 50 and 60 days. Tests done at Quest Diagnostics. How is this even possible? Did quest not process my tests?!??
If you had aids, would an at home HIV test come back negative or positive? Wouldn't it have to be positive?
