Same as armpits: Apocrine sweat glands, the ones that produce scented oily material, only exist in the armpits and the groin. Regular bathing removes the oil and the smell. You can use an antibacterial soap or body wash. Just like the armpit, you can apply an antiperspirant/deordorant to your groin area after the shower.
