You should wait: As with any viral skin disease, contact with the "sore" can spread the virus ( in your case varicella zoster) to someone who never was exposed.

Not now: Coming in contact with a Shingles rash/blister can infect someone who doesn’t have immunity to chickenpox. That person could develop chicken pox (not shingles).
