It : It sounds like sebacious cyst.If it is painful, it might be an abscess and should be examined by a doctor.

Is : Is there a lot of redness around it? It may be a little abscess. Have him take a couple of hit baths. If it does not get better or if the redness spreads take him to his pediatrician.
