If : If you cannot finish your course of Doxycycline due to side effects, you should give your doctor a call and let them know before just stopping the medication. There are other antibiotic options for you depending on your symptoms. Flagyl in a single dose alone is not recommended to treat chlamydia by itself.

Chlamydia and trich?: The doxycycline will cure chlamydia. Metronidazole (Flagyl) has no effect on chlamydia; the ER doctor must have also diagnosed or suspected trichomonas. The ceftriaxone (Rocephin) was to cover gonorrhea in case you have that too. Take all your meds as prescribed; follow-up with your doctor as instructed; and if you were diagnosed with trich, make sure your partner is also treated for it.
