ImmunoCap=blood test: Immunocap is the name of the blood test most frequently used to diagnose allergies by detecting specific ige antibodies. One major lab still uses different technology. If the technology used for your child was not immunocap, there could be a chance that repeating the blood test will help, but if both tests were already neg, it probably won't. Both foods and inhalants should be checked.

Helps some: All allergy related tests have benefits & limitations. Any finding of an elevated IgE response to a particular food is worrisome and worthy of excluding that food. Elevated IgG levels to foods do not always correlate with the kids actual responses to that food. This or other tests can provide a guide to your food selections so you can eliminate candidate foods & see if it makes a difference.
