Sure it's strep? : It could be a viral infection. Was a culture positive for strep? These are more likely viral symptoms or remotely strep. Certainly not std. Trust your doctor, and follow her advice.

Dont panic: The white spots on your tonsils are consistent with you strep throat which is a bacterial infection of your throat. The patches on your tongue are most likely benign unless they are ulcerated and bleeding. If you fear an std or have reason to believe you have contracted one, you can always get tested. Trust you doctor and recover from the strep.
