Rectal bleeding: Copious rectal bleeding, or bleeding with associated light-headedness or dizziness should be evaluated immediately in the emergency department. Small amounts of blood or sporadic bleeding should be evaluated but can be done in your doctor's office. Do not skip this step; any bleeding has the potential of being very serious.

??: If you are having continued rectal bleeding, especially with other symptoms - dizzy, light headed, fainting, nausea, low blood pressure...you need to be seen immediately. If you are passing blood, even in the absence of symptoms, you need to be seen immediately. If your bleeding was 9 days ago and no further bleeding, see your doctor as soon as possible. BUT...see your doctor...needs evaluation!!!
