You should be using: Protection, and have your partner tested before hand, that is the safest way to avoid that, besides not having sex, but during your period there are more open blood vessels in the endometrium so therortically you could be more likely, test your partner or if your partner is + ask his dcotor who is taking care of him what to avoid and not to avoid.
