A member asked:

How accurate is std testing? i tested negative for the swab(clamid./gonn.) and hiv/aids/hepitetis a&b, but should i be worried about inaccuracy?

Timing of test: The tests are generally accurate. However if you test too soon after acquiring the infection, a negative result would not rule out an infection. If you are concerned about the results of any of the tests, you may repeat the tests in about 6 months.
