A member asked:

Is it normal to develop lumpy breasts after childbirth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Lumpy breasts can be caused by many conditions. After childbirth the glands in your breast that secrete milk are stimulated by the hormone prolactin. That can cause obstructed milk ducts and breast engorgement especially if you are not breast feeding. Any breast mast that is persistent for a few weeks should be examined by a physician.
