Is it normal for women who have had their uterus removed to still produce breast milk, as if preparing for child birth?

Galactorrhea: Is the term used for abnormal letting down of milk. It can happen after hysterectomy but more often with thyroid disease and increase in prolactin. Blood tests with make the diagnosis.

Yes: It can still happen if the ovaries are left and they produce the hormones that trigger prolactin release from the pituitary that stimulates milk letdown. I would still see my gynecologist for further work up just to make sure it isn't something else causing the problem.
