Breast Implant Refer: Referral from your primary care physician is not necessary in order to complete breast augmentation, breast lift after childbirth. Breast augmentation and breast lift are cosmetic procedures and totally elective. You must be in good health, have completed breast feeding activities and have realistic expectations. Sure it is possible.: But that is not the same as getting your insurance to pay for the procedure. Breast enlargement in the us is always considered a cosmetic procedure not covered by insurance. Breast lift will only be covered if it is being used to try and make a normal saggy breast match a reconstructed breast, most comonly seen after treatment for breast cancer.
