Lexapro (escitalopram) and Remeron: Both Lexapro (escitalopram) and Remeron have similar side effects so changing medications will not help you.

Answered before: I have answered this question before. Mirtazapine (Remeron) generally has fewer sexual side effects than escitalopram, however, mirtazapine can have other side effects that escitalopram does not have. Talk to your physician about switching and you and he/she can decide together. NEVER abruptly stop a psychiatric medication or try to taper/change medications except under a physician's care.
