See below: The most common cause of your symptoms would be a "vaginitis" (inflammation/infection). The 3 most common types are: 1) yeast/fungal (candidiasis); 2) bacterial vaginosis (bad odor); and 3) trichomoniasis (bad odor and an STD). The specific type can be determined by appearance, pH testing, lab exam, and/or culture. Antifungal medication is primary treatment for #1 and Metronidazole for #2 and #3.
