A member asked:

Is hsv2 antibody blood test reliable?does hsv2 make any conjunctivitis like chlamydia or gu?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The antibody testing for Herpes simplex is usually accurate, but distinguishing between Types 1 & 2 may be problematic depending upon the test employed. Herpes can produce ocular infection and if you have these symptoms you should be seen by an ophthalmologist immediately, before your vision may be permanently affected.
