7-10 days: For better result, test it some 7-10 days after exposure or at the time having urethral discharge.

2-3 days: The standard test for chlamydia (which usually includes automatic testing for gonorrhea as well) is done on a swab from the urethra in men or the vagina in women, or on urine in either sex. The test is reliable any time more than 2-3 days after exposure.
