A member asked:

Can you tell me what you suggest if someone has not bathed in 2-3 days, then tests positive for chlamydia, could the test be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely to happen: The tests for chlamydia look for protein specific to the germ. The state of cleanliness does not impact the sample if obtained in the normal way. If positive, treat.
