You can retest in two weeks or follow the usual period and in the meantime try to convince your new partner to try with a condom or other ways to have sex- or wait till after the test.

Three weeks is the minimum time for test of cure. Even with successful cure, chlamydial DNA can persist and give a false positive test result for up to 3 weeks. On the other hand, doxycycline never fails to cure chlamydia when taken properly (100 mg twice daily for 7 days with few or no missed doses). So if you took the drug as directed, you're safe having sex once you have finished treatment.
