Don't use cologne!: The cause could be a lot of things - a fungal infection commonly known as jock itch is a likely cause. No one can tell you without seeing it however. Whatever the cause, cologne is only going to make it worse however. It will dry it out and irritate it more. Wash with mild soap and water. Get a jock itch powder at the pharmacy and make an appointment to see your doctor.
