No: Hsv (herpes simplex 1 and 2) is not a common pathogen for viral pharyngitis. Hiv (human immunodeficiency virus) is a completely separate virus and unless you have aids, then unlikely to be related at all to your viral pharyngitis. If you're at all worried about hiv, though, get a test to be sure, it's better than wondering, and responsible to do. Drink lots fluids, get lots of rest and get tested.
