A member asked:

Once your milk ducts are dry can i start breastfeeding again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible, but: It takes a lot of patience and work to relactate, but it can be done. Even moms who have adopted babies have been successful at breastfeeding, so there is hope. Best to hook yourself up with a certified lactation consultant, read up on galactogogues (foods/drinks that help with lactation), get a pump, rest and fluids. Put baby to breast often and pump frequently otherwise.
