Do i have diabetes or just random bad result?

Diagnosis: There is no such thing as random bad result when it comes to diagnosing diabetes. You can't diagnose diabetes by just one test. Per guideline, you need at least two tests consistent with diabetes before the diagnosis can be made. There is always a chance for lab error so if you are worried, get the test or tests repeated.

Optimal hba1c (for no ↑ rate of cv ds events ≤5 yrs, nl people middle aged, published 2001) not above 5.0%. Yet by ada guidelines hba1c ≥6.5% needed to DX dm. Ada advises tx to hba1c of only 7.0%. If this health care? Or only advanced ds partial tx?
