Yes you can: A1c test can be done without fasting and can be done at random and one can diagnose diabetes from this test nrmal value is 4.5 to5.6 if you are using a1c test to diagnose diabetes, an a1c level above6.5 percent or higher on two different separate tests indicate that one has diabetes a result between 5.7 to 6.4 is considered prediabetes, which indicate high risk of developing diabetes.
