Depends: Since i don't know your history it is hard to help. There are conditions that mimic anxiety. Are you sure it is not one of these? Alprazolam will decrease the feelings of anxiety, but it would be wise to check with your prescriber to determine your course of action. A behavioral intervention might be even more effective.

Withdrawing: If i were to interview you i would inqurie into the reason you feel sleepy. Why that would cause an attack. The options you give are not the best. Going home reenforces a habit of withdrawing from emotional information. Taking the Alprazolam does too. In my experience "panic" is not a good word.
