Can a unhealthy upper tooth nerve keep causing re- accuring infections and pain and sorness of the front of the palate ?

Yes: A tooth nerve infection, or even nerve death as in pulpal necrosis, will lead to cyst formation and upon growing, pressing on the nerve and cause intermittent pain. Root canal and possible cyst removal surgery after 6 months follow up to see if the cyst persists.

Yes: A non-vital nerve can be diagnosed by your dentist. If that is your case, you will need root canal therapy, or extraction. If the tooth already had root canal therapy, it may need retreatment or an apicoectomy. If the tooth is fractured, it will probably need extraction. Call your dentist for an appointment.

Yes but..: Absolutely. You need to be examined and evaluated in order to determine the cause of you pain and soreness and whether it is an unresolved problem\infection, some other tooth or teeth or a combination of multiple issues. We can't know what's actually occurring. Your own dentist can figure this all out for you and suggest appropriate treatment.

Yes: The infected nerve will remain a source of the infection unless you have aroot canal or remove the tooth.
