That's ok: It takes a few days for the bowels to wake up after surgery, and even longer with some of the pain medications. Keep her drinking and eating and it should happen soon. If not then make an appointment to see the surgeon.

Needs laxative.: Pt uses pain medications which has narcotics that causes constipation. Simple milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) should help.
