Every other day is : fine. Stools should be peanut-butter consistency & formed. If she has hard BM's that have caused anal fissures, she may start to withhold stool & develop chronic constipation. If you suspect problems, take her to her pediatrician before giving her any bulk laxatives like Miralax, (polyethylene glycol) because she may need bowel "clean-out" with Golytely 1st. Kids can withhold stool after a traumatic experience, also.
