Heated compresses: The primary treatment for posterior blepharitis (mgd) is moderately hot compresses for 10' 1 to 4 times/day followed by gentle eyelid massage using a wet washcloth with diluted baby shampoo. This process should continue daily for a long time to control the symptoms. Taking fish oil or flaxseed oil (2000mg/d) may help improve the eyelid oil gland function. Doxycycline, azasite, erthromycin possibly.

Related to dry eye: Best treatment for mgd is warm compresses. Sometimes we will use medications like tetracyclines in severe cases.
