Everyone will b fine: Both you and your baby will be fine. Amalgam fillings have been placed for over 150 years... If there was an issue, medical science would have determined a correlation with a health problem. Don't believe everything written on the internet. There has been much debate on the subject but it's just that... A debate.

Amalgam is safe: The amalgam is a safe and durable choice. Most research finds no relationship between fillings and symptoms of mercury poisoning or other side effects. Advances in modern dental technology allow to place tooth colored composite fillings instead of amalgam fillings to restore the natural appearance of the tooth.

Amalgam is ok: Amalgam is a choice of restorative materials that is approved by the Americal Dental Association. Ask your dentist about other restorative options that may be more aesthetic if you need future restorations.
